FYI, the car shown at 1:00 is an S210, not a W124. 124 went to model year 1995, not 1996. The 210 was released as a sedan in 96 (W), and a wagon in 98 (S). 4matic was also released for 98 on the 210.

Thanks for the head’s up. That was the oldest video we could find for 4Matic in the E-Class. The video source (Mercedes) dates it as a 1996 model year wagon, which coincided with some 1 24 model s.

Isn’t the system in mercs with actual locking difs called 4matic as well?
